Nutrition is a frequent topic of public interest and opinion. The necessity of nutrition to sustain life and the ability to make choices related to nutrition are shared human commonalities. Yet, the nutrition messages we receive from the community and media can have us drinking from a fire hose, leaving us confused and ashamed. Join me in this 1-hr training to learn nutrition concepts to help you, your loved one, or your client stay firmly grounded on the recovery path.

  • Shena Washburn

    Shena Washburn is the Senior Director of Clinical Nutrition and Culinary Services at Accanto Health and The Emily Program. With over 15 years of experience in nutrition, mental health, and eating disorders, she brings deep clinical and operational expertise to her role. As a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Consultant (CEDS-C) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP), Shena leads efforts to advance the integration of nutrition and culinary services within eating disorder care. In addition to her leadership role, she is passionate about supporting individuals in developing a balanced and sustainable relationship with food, movement, and their bodies. Shena is equally dedicated to fostering collaborative, multidisciplinary care, with a strong focus on mentoring professionals, improving systems, and cultivating leadership within her teams. Her clinical interests include sports nutrition, digestive health, nutrition-focused physical exam, mindfulness-based approaches, and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP). Outside of work, Shena enjoys dancing, gardening, and spending time with her two young children.

CE Process Info

Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by their licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) to earn CE credits. No partial credits. 

Before the event, you will receive an email from CE-Go with access to the virtual event. After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. Attendance Policy

All attendance will be monitored and recorded. Due to accreditation guidelines, continuing education credit will not be awarded to participants who do not attend a presentation in its entirety. Participants not meeting this time requirement will not be awarded continuing education (CE) credits. We recommend logging on to the webinar 10 minutes prior to the session start time to earn satisfactory attendance for CE credits. 


Evaluation of each session will also be required in order to obtain any continuing education (CE) certificates.
